Shingai Manjengwa is the Head of AI Education at ChainML where she leads AI Solutions Engineering. ChainML is a Toronto and San Francisco-based AI startup specializing in conversational analytics agents with advanced ‘talk to data’ capabilities. Shingai collaborates with clients on every aspect of AI, from an initial concept to a cost-effective and scalable deployment. ChainML has also developed an open-source platform for the rapid and responsible development of a variety of generative AI tools:

A data scientist by profession, Shingai has led Technical Education at the Vector Institute for Artificial Intelligence in Toronto. There, she translated advanced AI research into educational programming to drive AI adoption and innovation in industry and government. Shingai is also the founder of Fireside Analytics Inc., a data science education company offering tailored programs on AI literacy, data science, algorithmic bias, and fairness. Her online courses, hosted on platforms like IBM’s CognitiveClass.ai and Coursera, have attracted over 500,000 registered learners from different backgrounds and at different levels of technical proficiency. Shingai’s book, ‘The Computer and the Cancelled Music Lessons,’ teaches data science to children from ages 5 to 12. 

Shingai is an award-winning leader in AI and a champion for diversity and inclusion in tech. She sits on the Service Advisory Committee for Employment and Social Development Canada led by the COO of Service Canada, and she is a Public Policy Forum Fellow.
